damn isn't it funny how every time work says they're going to sell a new product based around 4 separate systems with their own distinct databases and business rules, that all push or pull updates between each other via API calls, none of which have a trust relationship because they're separate companies, we spend literally every single day dealing with egregious and irreparable sync issues that cause constant and catastrophic disagreements between the DBs? could anyone have predicted this? what if there was a "science of computers," if you will, that could have hypothesized that this kind of data relationship was logically impossible to keep working with any level of reliability, and thus told us that it was a fool's errand? perhaps someday, such a discipline will exist. much to think about.
The USA is the nation-state version of a shitty condemned house that's been flipped to look fancy and expensive, up until you poke one wall and everything falls apart
